Gill Foundation Donates $100,000 to Colorado Healing Fund in Wake of Club Q Tragedy

Today, the Gill Foundation is committing $100,000 to the Colorado Healing Fund to support victims’ families, survivors, and the community affected by the tragedy at Club Q in Colorado Springs, where a shooter killed five people and injured at least 18 more. The shooting is being investigated as a hate crime against the LGBTQ community.

We invite you to join us in supporting these response efforts by donating to Colorado Healing Fund through the Gill Foundation’s fundraiser for the Club Q tragedy.

The Colorado Healing Fund (CHF) was established in 2018 as a collaboration between victim advocates and local leaders to help communities respond and rebuild after mass tragedies in Colorado. CHF provides a secure, central place to donate to victim assistance efforts. CHF partners with state and local victim assistance organizations to determine how best to support individuals and families in the aftermath of tragedy and to coordinate the disbursement of funds.

As part of the Gill Foundation’s immediate response to the tragedy at Club Q, our top priority is to support the loved ones of those whose lives were lost, the survivors who were in the venue, and the community that is feeling the reverberations of this violence and loss—while charting a path to repair and resilience.

Our hearts are broken, but this act of violence will not break our spirit. Now more than ever, we are steadfast in our commitment to build a world where everyone can live free from violence and discrimination. The foundation will continue to collaborate with our community partners as response efforts evolve in order to best support our community as it heals, rebuilds, and endures.
