Gill Foundation Pledges $1 Million to Public Education Efforts on Federal Nondiscrimination

Today, the Gill Foundation announced a $1 million grant to Freedom for All Americans Education Fund. These funds will support a coordinated public education campaign to combat anti-LGBTQ discrimination.

For more than 25 years, the Gill Foundation has funded work by organizations across the country to secure equal rights for LGBTQ Americans. Together we’ve made tremendous progress. Marriage equality is now the law of the land. The horrific practice of conversion therapy is banned or limited in 21 states. And 22 states have passed nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ residents.

The dedication, collaboration, and passion of our movement has brought us to another pivotal moment. We now have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to ensure all LGBTQ Americans are protected from discrimination. We look forward to supporting our grantees, allies, and partners in this endeavor to achieve equality for all.
