LGBT Funds Spark Debate

The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado – dedicated to demonstrating that LGBT people share the same values and commitment to community as other Coloradans – seeks to fund the restoration of a beloved sculpture known as “Skygrazers” in Sterling, CO. The residents of Sterling grapple with whether or not to accept funding from an LGBT group, ultimately deciding these sculptures need to be restored and utilizing GLFC funding.

Seeing the need for more research on LGBT issues, Chuck Williams creates the Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law and Public Policy at UCLA Law School. The Institute is the first of its kind and will help advance LGBT public policy for years to come.
